Pig in the city

We recently took some time out to see The Pig Idea in action at Stepney City Farm. The Pig Idea’s Edd Colbert explained what was on the menu: a starter of brewer’s grain, maincourse of potato offcuts (discarded because people like straight chips) and a pudding of leftover whey with a side of lettuce. Great to see how tiny piglets have been raised to (very) boisterous, healthy porkers all on nutritious food that would otherwise be binned. We’re delighted that our identity work has helped garner over 1500 pledges of support to date. More on the campaign’s exciting culmination in a few weeks…
