Wahaca wanted to promote their seasonal menu (it changes twice a year) and communicate the provenance of their cooking.
BuroCreative thought Wahaca’s wonderful food and links with Mexico deserved something more substantial than the suggested flyer. We suggested Ola London, a bi-annual newsletter on Mexico, from recipes, to reviews and details of Mexican culture in London.
BuroCreative edit, design and illustrate every unique edition. Recent Olas have included kids’ colouring-in pages and a make-it-yourself mask for Day of the Dead celebrations.
Despite (or perhaps because of) its laid-back tone, Ola London has become a powerful tool for communicating Wahaca’s credibility in and out of the restaurant. As competition in the restaurant/food category hots up, the craft, thought and creativity of Ola helps Wahaca stay ahead of the pack. For back issues, drop us a line.
