To honour the pioneering spirit of Madame Clicquot, the first woman to run her own champagne house, Veuve Clicquot created the Business Woman Award. However, the accompanying website did little to convey the prestige of the award and, as a result, failed to attract applications.
BuroCreative redesigned the website to mark the 2011 Award, taking colour cues from Veuve Clicquot’s La Grande Dame champagne.
The prestige and glamour of the awards and ceremony were conveyed by introducing interactive features such as podcasts from winners and streaming of the ceremony. Online applications increased 25 fold this year.
